The PAPS Annual Meeting is designed to provide comprehensive continuing education in the field of pediatric surgery. It is PAPS’ intent to bring together the world’s leading authorities to present and discuss the most recent clinical and research efforts. Our organization is focused on clinical pediatric surgery and the international, cross cultural sharing or clinically innovative surgical techniques. Surgeons at our meeting concentrate on learning the newest surgical techniques which may have initially been developed and popularized in one country and can now be applied on an international scale.

The highest scoring abstracts were awarded a 3 minute presentation and 2 minute discussion with the exception of the Basic Science PAPS Prize Competition which is 4 minute presentation and 2 minutes discussion. Oral Presentations should be made in Windows PowerPoint and submitted to the technician in the speaker preparation room in plenty of time before your session. All abstracts accepted for ORAL presentation are eligible for manuscript submission. If you have been awarded a presentation for one of the PAPS Prize sessions (either clinical or basic science) then you are also EXPECTED to submit a manuscript for publication consideration. As a reminder, the PAPS Prize competition is for trainees only. If you mistakenly checked the box to be considered for the PAPS prize but you are not a trainee, rest assured you can still present your work but you are not eligible for the PAPS Prize.
Quick Shot Oral Presentations
Quick Shot Oral Presentation are 2 minutes with 1 minute discussion in the morning Quick Shot Sessions. Quick Shots are NOT eligible for paper submission nor are they eligible for the PAPS Prize. Quick Shot Oral Presentations should be made in Windows PowerPoint and submitted to the technician in the speaker preparation room in plenty of time before your session. There will be two quick shot sessions running concurrently per day from About 6:45 AM to as late as 7:45 AM. Please arrive early to ensure adequate time to transition to the Scientific Sessions in the Main Presentation Room.
Video Presentations will be allowed a 4 minute video plus 1 minute for discussion. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR VIDEO TO EXCEED 4 MINUTES . We recommend that you let the video play with no sound and you narrate live. If you elect to have an audio as an alternate, please remember the video MUST be narrated in English. But please do NOT use background music in your video. Video format should be .AVI, .MOV, or .MP4. Please upload your video with the technician in the speaker preparation room when you arrive in at the meeting venue.
Poster presentations are display only and last for one full day of the meeting. You will not need to stand by your poster at anytime. Location is the B2 AN Ping and Fu Cheng Rooms. Pins are provided. The poster orientation is vertical. Poster board is 100 cm wide and 250 cm high, and the Poster Size should be set as A0 size, no bigger than 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height).
